DFAS โ€” dfas.mil

Defense Finance and Accounting Service. Use this for pay inquiries, travel claims, tax forms, and garnishment information. Helpful reference even when MyPay doesn’t have what you need.

Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) โ€” tsp.gov

The federal retirement savings plan. Manage your contribution percentage, check your account balance, and review investment fund allocations. Accessible with a TSP username โ€” no CAC required.

BAH Calculator โ€” militaryonesource.mil

Calculate your Basic Allowance for Housing based on rank, dependency status, and duty station zip code. Updated annually with each pay year. No login required.

Army Benefits Center / Pay Charts โ€” myarmybenefits.us.army.mil

Official Army benefits portal with current pay charts, BAS rates, BAH rates, and a benefits calculator. Good starting point for understanding your total compensation. No login required.

Integrated Personnel and Pay System โ€” Army. This replaced the old ERB/SRB portal. Use it for your Soldier Talent Profile, leave requests, DD93, personnel action requests, and marketplace. CAC or DS Logon required.

Your official Army Military Human Resource Record (AMHRR). View your personnel documents, verify what’s filed, and identify missing records. Soldiers can view their own record via DS Logon; CAC preferred.

๐Ÿ”’ Evaluation Entry System (EES) โ€” hrc.army.mil

Where OERs and NCOERs are initiated, routed, and submitted. Raters and senior raters access EES through HRC. If your evaluation isn’t showing in iPERMS, EES is where to troubleshoot. CAC required.

Manage your DEERS enrollment, update beneficiary information, view TRICARE coverage, and access your Certificate of Eligibility. Also where you update dependent information. CAC or DS Logon required.

RAPIDS โ€” ID Card Office โ€” rapids-tag.dmdc.osd.mil

Schedule an appointment to get or renew a CAC, dependent ID card, or retiree ID card. Also use this to find the nearest RAPIDS office. No login required to schedule.

Army Training Information System โ€” the replacement for ALMS (retired March 2024). This is where you complete mandatory online training, Distributed Leader Courses (DLC), and other required compliance training. CAC required.

Army Training Requirements and Resources System. Use this to search for and enroll in resident courses, check school quotas, and manage training seats. Some functions require CAC; course catalog is publicly accessible.

Joint online training platform for courses that span service branches โ€” SERE, cultural awareness, cyber awareness, and joint professional military education. CAC required.

The Army’s tuition assistance portal. Active duty soldiers can apply for TA to cover college tuition up to the annual cap. Also manages GoArmyEd coursework and degree plans. DS Logon or CAC required.

AFT Scoring Tables (TC 3-22.20) โ€” armypubs.army.mil

Official Army Fitness Test scoring standards, effective June 1, 2025. Five events, scored out of 500 points. Two standards: combat specialty and general. Download the current TC 3-22.20 for complete scoring tables by age group and gender.

AR 600-9 (Height/Weight & Body Composition) โ€” armypubs.army.mil

The governing regulation for Army body composition standards, height/weight screening, and the body fat assessment program. Reference this when counseling soldiers or preparing for a tape. ST body fat calculator coming soon.

Medical Protection System โ€” tracks individual and unit medical readiness, immunizations, dental status, and deployability. Commanders and readiness NCOs use this to manage medical readiness across the formation. CAC required.

DoD’s health care program for service members and their families. Use the site to find providers, understand your plan, request referrals, and manage prescriptions. Active duty soldiers are covered under TRICARE Prime at no cost.

Army Emergency Relief (AER) โ€” aerhq.org

Provides emergency financial assistance to soldiers and their families for things like emergency travel, medical bills, and essential needs. Assistance is available as interest-free loans or grants. Apply through your unit S1 or the nearest ACS office.

MilitaryOneSource โ€” militaryonesource.mil

One of the most underutilized resources in the Army. Free confidential counseling (up to 12 sessions), financial counseling, legal consultation, tax prep (MilTax), childcare referrals, and more โ€” available 24/7 to active duty soldiers and their families. No CAC required.

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) โ€” va.gov

Primary portal for VA benefits, health care enrollment, disability claims, education benefits, and home loan certificates. Active duty soldiers can begin the VA benefits process before separation. No CAC required.

GI Bill Comparison Tool โ€” benefits.va.gov/gibill

Compare GI Bill benefit programs side by side โ€” Chapter 33 (Post-9/11), Chapter 30 (Montgomery), and Chapter 1606 (Reserve). Also use this to check school approval status and estimated benefits for specific programs.

SGLI / VGLI โ€” benefits.va.gov

Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance information. Active duty soldiers are automatically enrolled for $500,000 coverage. Use this to understand your coverage, update beneficiaries (do this now, not later), and learn about VGLI conversion options at separation.

Legal Assistance (JAG) โ€” jagcnet.army.mil

Find your nearest Army legal assistance office for help with wills, powers of attorney, tax issues, family law, and consumer protection. JAG legal assistance is free to active duty soldiers and their families.

SCRA โ€” Servicemembers Civil Relief Act โ€” dmdc.osd.mil

Verify SCRA coverage for interest rate reductions on pre-service loans and credit cards. Lenders can check your active duty status here. Useful to know before dealing with car loans, credit cards, or mortgages.
