• Optional Service Record fields: rank, MOS, component, years of service, and duty station
• Payment information — processed securely through Stripe; we never store full card numbers
• Comments or forum posts you submit on the platform

We also collect basic technical data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is standard web server logging used to keep the site running and detect abuse.

How We Use It

• To create and manage your account and membership
• To process payments and send receipts
• To display your Service Record profile to other enlisted members
• To send you platform updates, policy change notices, and — if you opt in — newsletter content
• To moderate the forums and enforce community rules
• To improve the site through anonymized usage analytics

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

Cookies

Sergeant’s Time uses cookies to keep you logged in between sessions and to remember preferences. These are functional cookies required for the site to work properly. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party cookies for marketing purposes.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your membership (ETS), your account data is retained for 90 days and then deleted on request. Forum posts are retained indefinitely as part of the community record unless you request removal.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively. Contact us for details.

Children

Sergeant’s Time is intended for current and former military personnel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top and post a notice in the platform. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
